Mutations are the product of failures in the Awakening process. The subjects are left with physical and mental mutations or disabilities. These subjects most likely not gain the whole powers of the Awakening (like creating energy), but rather gain unique abilities on their own, along with fatal deficiencies.
Known mutants[]
- Tsukikage Arashi. Gained increased speed, reflexes and fierceness, but he went drug-addicted and psychotic.
- Panda. He was mutated into an anthropomorphic animal, but that probably increased his physical prowess.
